    Question

    hi everybody,

    when try to issue analyze_schema-I see this error-
    ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 262668 bytes (cursor work
    he,kllcqas:kllsltba)
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DDL", line 161
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_UTILITY", line 254
    ORA-06512: at line 1

    MY SGA SIZE-167M,MEMORY-512M,USING MTS WITH 5 SHARED SERVER AND 3 DISPATCHER
    LARGE POOL SIZE=0,SHOULD I INCREASE LARGE POOL SIZE.
    WHAT FOR LARGE POOL IS USED IN MTS,AND HOW TO DETERMINE THE SIZE?

    at least 20M for large_pool_size.

    hi I noticed the when trying to anlyze 3 tables -temp,temp15 and hd_application.this ora-04030 is coming .what to do?

    because you are using MTS, session information in PGA are stored now in UGA which is in shared pool so the amount of shared pool memory available for the shared SQL cache decreases. If Oracle needs to allocate a large chunk of shared pool and there isnt one Oracle will request Large pool for this large memory allocation. Seems like your large pool is small and Oracle cant get this large chunk from anywhere and gives you ORA-4030 (shared pool fragmentated)

    Sorry I confused 4030 with 4031, 4030 means something like you system is dieing heh
    4031 is what I stated in previous post...

    hi do u think this is memory error-I have 2 snp processes ,I donot use replication,should I comment those job_queue_processes in init.ora.

    but pando in taskbar I see very low usage of memory,what would u suggest in present scenario.sga-167m ,still to decrease it or what.

    what is your sort_area_size?
