    Question Has anyone heard of or used dbms_pickler?

    I know it is an undocumented Oracle supplied package. I was just curious if anyone has any experience with it good or bad. We have Java code that calls it.

    Hi,

    I saw your thread and was curious as well.
    So did a search and found this from metalink

    "It is a PL/SQL package which is used to get TDS (Type Descriptor Source) of a object. This is required to know the contents of the given adt (ie., attributes in a ADT). "

    This package is used internally.
