I have an 9i instance running on Solaris, now i need to create one more instance as test in the same server under oracle home. I already have prod in the same Oracle home.
In the prod dir i have the profile and controlfile copy
/oracle_home/prod/
do i need to create another profile under test dir for the test instance? is that the right way?
/oracle_home/test/
I have the parameter files under dbs dir.
