Oracle for Linux (Intel)
Dear all:
Please help me to find to installation Oracle 8i on linux O/S. I found software CD the name of the CD is " Oracle 8i for linux Intel"
I can't understand Linux Intel meants what version of redhat Linux meant?? Can you explain me the Linux Intel meant what Version of RedHat.....??

No there is none msg. yet just let me know what version of Linux is it .....
Also it can support Fedora Core -1 or not if yes then I can install it in my machine where I have Fedora 1

Linux for intel just means x86, not 64 bit or itanium
so redhat is fine as is fedora

Of course you can install Oracle 8i, 9i or 10g on any machine running any vaguely recent operating system.
Full details are here .
The articles explain how to install Oracle 9i and 10g onto Red Hat Enterprise Server 4. You can do that, even if running Fedora Core 1, because VMware makes it possible to do so.
