    how to get the sysdate of gmt

    i am using oracle 8i.
    my nls_date_language = american
    i don't want to change this.
    but while inserting the date values i want it to be converted into sysdate of gmt. it should also need to convert hh:mi:ss

    pl. let us know how to get the result.
