Configuring standby database through data guard manager

I want to configure physical standby database through data guard manager for testing purpose.

Should i need two servers for primary & standby database configuration or one server is sufficient to configure the both.

Please anybody help me how to proceed.

    Thanks

Please specify OS of ur Server and it is ok if you are going to create two database on same machine. But you have to set environment which specify what is ur primary database on OS.

    Hi

You need two servers which are separate and geographically at different loactions.

    Hi
    Thanks.

I am configuring physical standby database through data guard manager in Windows 2000 server and Oracle Version 9.2.6.

    Before invoking data guard manager
    1. Agent 2. Management server 3. Creating job 4. initial/Remote verification processes everything fine.

After Invoking data guard manager while creating standby database
3rd step configuring standby environment I am getting the error

"Error running creation process on node gp: Error installing listener.ora file: copy E:\oracle\ora92\network\admin\listener.ora E:\oracle\ora92\network\admin\listener.ora.save2936: Bad file descriptor"

Please let me know if you have any idea.

FYI : I am using only one server for both primary & standby.

    Thanks
    samy
