Create Database(s) has failed all day. Need Help
Windows xp Pro. I've tried 10.2, 10.1 all day and keep getting this error.
ORA-24324: service handle not initialized
ORA-24323: value not allowed
ORA-28547: connection to server failed, probable Oracle Net admin error
I've had oracle 10.1 on this machine and uninstalled it. I've never had any problem before today.
Any clues as to whats happening. This is driving me crazy and I need to have this working by Friday.
thanks.

What is SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES set to? If NTS, change it to none.

To help u give me more what u did.
1. Have u created database manually.
2. Is Database service started, if not delete it and create it again through ORADIM utility.
3. are u using sample init file or u have created it. if created check parameters like db_name,instance_name.
Let me know status
