First you go through the student guides on Oracle Apps Architecture

1. Installing oracle 11i

2. System administration

then u go through the Oracle documentaion

I think just read the oracle Documents which generally comes with the installations CD's ..that is the best way . Oracle Doc gives you the clear picture
