    Hi all

I installed personal oracle 8i on win98. My win98 is hebrow enable, and my oracle is in hebrow. I tryed to change the nls_lang to AMERICAN_AMERICA.IW8ISO8859P8 but no good(as i thought it would be, but i had to try)

Can any one out there tell me how to convert my oracle to English? do i need to re-install it, or gust change a few parameters

    thanks

For the database , you will need to create a new database with the new character set , you can not change a database character set after its created.

If you have work on the old database , just make and export dump file and re import it to the New one.

Also get to the windows registry ( Software / Oracle section ) select NLS_LANG key , chang it to the character set you want then restart windows , you should work correctly Now.
