    Hot backup

    Hi,

    We have Oracle9i RAC DB running in 2 instances (archivelog mode). We are planning to take online backup (Using Alter tablespace begin backup command) by tablespace wise.

    Is there any precausions to be taken before started taking hotbackup in RAC DB? if so pl guide me.

    1. Do not take hot backups when there is peak load, i.e. when lot of transactions are taking place.
    2. Take hot backup of tablespaces one by one.
