    Asyncio

    Hi

    How can we enable Oracle9i R2(9.2.0.6 ) to use asyncio with the

    - IBM servers
    - EMC SAN with powerpath

    Any specific parameter setting available ? With RHEL3.0 I have the info bur for these i coyld not get anything.

    By default, ASYNCIO is enabled in IBM AIX 5.2
    The command is:
    $lsdev -Cc aio
    aio0 Available Asynchronous I/O (Legacy)

    We've got IBM Servers too, but no AIX. he he..

    Find out if you have asyc I/O installed by:

    rpm -qa *aio*

    There are a ton of documents on setting up Oracle to run async I/O on metalink.oracle.com.
