    listener problem

    Hi everybody,

    i am facing listener related problem,actually we were created database in laptop,this
    is just for demo presentation means only one or two clients who access this database.Problem comes when laptop goes to different network mean different country that time ip become changed due to this listener not work properly i use host namimg but host name not works properlly pls suggest me what to do.

    run it on 127.0.0.1

    Where are you using the IP 127.0.0.1 ? Actual ip of the machine or the ip address mentioned in the listener.ora ?

    Personally, I'd try using IPC protocol in this case, but Howard Rogers disagrees with me. His solution is to install a "loopback adapter" - see the link in this: http://www.dizwell.com/html/dhcp.html
