    Viewing archived redo logs

Please bear with me and my Oracle illiteracy.

I've been asked to find a way to view an archived redo log file. ( we need to view DML statements in an effort to debug our software ).

I have read that LogMiner is one route to take.. (I'm going on the assumption that it will read an archived redo log..)

Is there any other option? I read a blurb on JDeveloper, however I really wasn't sure if it applied to what I am needed.

I really need to read my Oracle for Dummies book

    Thanks in advance

    Rob

Logminer is the best way to go, IMHO.

    Tim,

Those links are a HUGE help. Looks like they (and subsequent links) will give me all the info I need to break... er use LogMiner.

    Thanks! Have a good weekend.
