Triggering mechanism for refreshing policy violations?

Can anyone tell me off hand what the triggering mechanism is for refreshing policy violations in 10g Grid Control?

All I can find is an unanswered OTN forum post from mid-2004.

    Hi.

I always guessed it just checks for violations at regular intervals, but like I say it was only a guess.

    Cheers

Is there one?!?! Or is it like some of the alerts you get, where you can only clear them by issuing a $> emctl clearstate?

Its probably fixed in Release 2... like everything else.

Well, my policy violation fix took 1 day after it checked it last... so it looks like this one is checked daily.

Support is absolutely clueless when it comes to the internals of Grid(lock) Control.

Well, we can only hope 10gR2 is better.
