Distributred Database

Hi all, Its a bit urgent.

Can anybody help me throwing some light on how I can setup distributed database with two different databases Oracle 8.0.5 and DB2/400

You will need an Oracle Product called "Transparent Gateway for DB2/400". Basically, it is a product that is installed on the AS/400 that makes the DB/2 database look like an Oracle database.

You then setup a tnsnames.ora entry on the oracle side and create a database link to the DB/2 database.

I was looking for more information on technet, I could'nt locate a download to do a test.

It's not a widely available product. Call your oracle rep and have him/her send it to you.
