    connect / as sysdba

    Presently it is possible to connect on my database using connect / as sysdba on the server. 9i

    But i want to obligate user to put a password. How to?

    Hi.

    It's OS authenticaton. That's the way it is.

    The safest thing to do is not give you root and oracle UNIX password to people you don't trust.

    If you are on Windows then remove the OracleDBA group from the person or from every one.
