Thread: How to auto start Oracle and Listener after machine crash?

    Hi-

    If the unix machine housing the Oracle Server crashes, is there a way to have the database AND the listener to startup cleanly on their own once the unix machine is restarted? Do you always have to manually start up a listener after you startup a database from svrmgrl?

    if you search in the archives there are plenty of scripts and instructions on how to do this.

    read installation guide, there are 2 scripts that comes with Oracle will start & stop the database. Read the guide for config.
