Hi u mean with the above, i can get rid of this rman 06089 message. Please note that my situation is as belows
windows oracle <-> veritas net backup
so there is nothing wrong with my windows oracle. Just that this veritas script calls rman and i got this error message. So last confirmation as belows :
c:\ rman target /
rman> crosscheck backup;
rman> delete obsolete;
rman> delete expired;
i replace the C:\ with the $ and i am fine?

Hi.
I think this might do it
run {
allocate channel for maintenance type disk;
change archivelog all crosscheck;
release channel;}

yes, there are many variations to run an rman program,
just be sure u delete obsolote and expired backups so rman will
not have to look for it when u delete it from OS command.

Hi.
I am on oracle 8.1.7
Instead of doing a delete, i got the below
1) http://www.dbaclick.com/forums/archive/36/9427.html
2) http://www.stanford.edu/dept/itss/do...int.htm#454289
to do a "change archivelog all crosscheck; " which will sove my rman 06089.
Last advise?
