TOS violatons - read this NOW

In light of recent derogatory posts regarding a particular DBA and consulting firm, I would like to remind everyone of our Acceptable Use Policy, linked to from the bottom of every forum page. Everyone should take a moment to read through the policy, specifically the following:

    • If you contribute any graphic images or photographs, you accept all liability for any model or property release issues that may arise from an individual or trademarked property in the content. Please do not submit any images or photographs for which you do not have a current model or property release.
    • You will not post any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.
    • You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harrass, threaten, nor attack anyone.
    • You will not post any copyrighted material, nor link to any copyrighted material (with the exception of publicly available sites and pages that the legal owners of the copyrights have created to make that material freely available to the general public), unless that copyright is owned by you or by these Forums.

I expect this behavior to cease immediately. Future offenders will be banned from the forums.

    As an additional reminder:

    • You will not use profanity in our forums, and will neither post with language or content that is obscene, sexually oriented, or sexually suggestive nor link to sites that contain such content.

The full policy can be viewed at

That would be irrelevant. The only thing we need concern ourselves with is our TOS, which states that type of behavior is not acceptable in the forums.

    What OracleDoc should've asked was

Why are you coming up with the banishment now?
And by the way, banishment should be temporary OR you will have to state examples of what one should not say or do?

Agreed, it's Jupiter's forum and it's their responsibility for upholding their image, I just hope you've taken enough measures for other repercussions as well

    Hey !
Ya can't pin this one on me, profanity yes but not the whole DB thang. All I did was ask Mike Ault a simple question.
I remember when this place was cool.

No one's trying to pin anything on anyone. But it's our responsibility to safeguard the company from any potential hazards, and just to uphold the standards set for us in general. That's all.

There has been a question as to what is acceptable in our forums and what is not. I hope that the following will clear up any confusion.

    • Copyrighted material may not be reproduced without the express permission of the copyright holder. This means articles, blog entries, posts from other forums, etc. can not be copy/pasted in the DBASupport forums. If material on another website legitimately answers a question on our forums, you may copy/paste a sentence or two and link to the outside material.

    • Images may never be pulled from a server other than DBASupport.com, unless it is your own server. Bandwidth theft will not be tolerated.

    • False and defamatory information directed at a person, website or company is not acceptable in the forums. You will not post any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.

    • Members will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harrass, threaten, nor attack anyone.

    • Members will not use profanity in our forums, and will neither post with language or content that is obscene, sexually oriented, or sexually suggestive nor link to sites that contain such content.

    Who are you?

If that is the case you should have banned me a LONG time ago!

Just a clarification request on this one -- how about linking to images on other servers for which I have a paid subscription and for which my terms of service permit this practice, such as SmugMug?
