Upgrade to 64-bit
We're looking to upgrade our 9.2 Db's to 64-bit (OS is 64 bit) but I'm getting conflicting info from sources on how to do it (we run the JVM in the database):
Option 1:
Install 64 bit software
Point env to 64-bit
Run catlog, catproc, utlirp
Option 2:
Just install 64 bit
Point env to 64-bit
Relink all
Option 3:
Seen a note saying process is different if running JVM but the note is only for 8174
Can anyone clarify or point me to some more info?
Cheers,
Fraze

Just found a section in the migration guide that says:
install 64-bit
point env to 64-bit
Run utlirp (i.e. no catalog or catproc)
Guess this is the proper method unless anyone else disagrees?

Just read Note 62290.1 on Metalink says that it is a cut and paste from the Oracle 9i docs, but then goes on to say that catalog and catproc need to be run. it also says that its not applicable for DB's running JVM and gives a link to a note thats for coverting an 8174 DB to 64 bit with JVM (no mention of 9.2).
So I've got three different Oracle docs to choose from, each one slightly different!!??
Has anyone had experience of going through the process?
