    Question Connectivity Of Oracle Server With Client

    Hi Friends

    I have a question. Is it possible to connect my client with my oracle server without installing oracle client or form,reports runtime on client machine. I just want that with odbc i can access my database on my client without installing above said things. Is it possible please reply.

    maybe - have look at 10g Instant Client http://www.databasejournal.com/featu...le.php/3371561

    This is a minimum "install" - for SQL*PLus you only have to copy the files somewhere (I've even run it from a USB memory stick). I've not tried ODBC.

    P.S. does NOT run on Win95/98

    its still software you need on your machine though ....
