New to Oracle and need direction

I am not new to database administration or SQL, but I have come across the need to familiarize myself with Oracle. In the past I have used MySQL for all of my web based database needs, and have become quite proficient with it. I also have also done a lot of programming work with Access, in my pre MySQL days. I want to make a leap in the Oracle direction, not only for myself, but it seems the higher ups are looking to that direction. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction to get started. I will eventually be taking my Oracle certification and would appreciate any resources you can recommend to help me on my way. I will be taking a trip to the book store tomorrow, so feel free to list books that would be a good choice.

    I do appreciate the help.

Also read Oracle Database Concepts and Administration manuals. These 2 manuals will give you the idea of how oracle works.
