Question How to back-up a file under DB Oracle

    Hallo to everybody

I would like to know how to back-up a file under a DB Oracle System that reaches the percentage of 100% usage.

    Many thanks, Tommaso.

Have you thought about buying a new raid volume?
Have you thought about backing up to tape?

Why does a device being nearly full stop you from backing up your database?

Weither you are referring to a file system level(O.S.) or a tablespace/datafiles(Oracle DB), the backup procedures will be basically the same. The question is, what available backup procedures can you apply in your database. And that I think may lead you to read documents about backup and recovery for Oracle DB.
