Oracle Standard or Enterprise version?
Did anyone have experience choosing between Oracle Standard and Enterprise? What are the factors to consider when make this decision? The prices for both version are not same.

High Availability options such as Standby Server (8i) aren't available with SE, and neither are some analytical functions such as rank... Not sure about the diferences on 9i\10g, but i'm sure its documented somewhere.

A quick scout around seems to suggest the main difference to be the number of CPUs allowed in your database server. SE is up to 4CPUs, anything over that and you are going to need EE.

There's some differences with RMAN as well. If you are using basic database features (tables/packages/procedures/java) and will have a database less than about 200G, SE should be fine.
