Shutdown hangs SMON WAITING FOR TX RECOVERY

ORACLE 8i

we clonned one database in to this server from a similar kind of server.

Database is starting.
When shutdown it hangs with
"SMON WAITING FOR TX RECOVERY" message in alert log.
Seached the net, could not get solution.

Problem fixed.

There were no private rollback segment We created one.

We waited for 30 minutes. It cleanly shutdown.

Now ok. But we are still analysing for the reasons.
