    DB_BLOCK_SIZE change

    Hi, I have just installed Oracle 9i and created an instance with db_block_size = 8192.. Can I modify this parameter to 16384 after the database has been created? I know that you cannot do this in previous versions of Oracle. I cannot seem to find this answer anywhere. Please help. Thanks.

    In 9i you can create additional tablespaces with a larger block size. However, if you just created the database, it would be better to recreate it with the larger block size. Practice makes perfect.
