    Angry Cache memory lock

    Dear All,

Recently we had migrated BI Application from Oracle version 8.1.7.0.0 to 9.2.0.5.0 but we had Cache memory lock issues in production after smoothly going through acceptance (for two months), that was attributed to bug in Oracle version 9.2.0.5.0 and a patch was applied as 9.2.0.6.0. But similar kind of issues can be still noticed (3 times in last 5 months). It happens right at the beginning of the batch, to be more specific, database goes to cache memory lock while most of my jobs are running integrity violation checks.

Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Mahesh

Does this problem manifest as an error returned to the client, or through the server log, or what?

What errors in the server log?

Can you be a bit clearer on the errors you are seeing? By server log you mean what? alert log? Trace files? The server messages file?

    And the error is?

Can you put an extract of the trace file for us to look at?
