    Space requirement for TIMESTAMP datatype?

I was looking for space requirement for "TIMESTAMP" datatype. Looked in "Oracle Database SQL Reference" but didn't get anything about space usage.

STFW pointed to this website http://www.devarticles.com/c/a/Oracl...n-Oracle-9i/1/ which says 7 to 11 bytes. But I wanted the exact requirement from Oracle docs. Can anyone please point me to correct doc?

    pando,
I can use vsize or dump but I expected to have it in manuals as well.

    jmodic,
Thanks for the info. BTW which manual did you find this?

I didn't find it in the manuals - I'm not sure those storage requirements for timestamps are actualy documented anywhere in Oracle manuals.
