    10g has no sample instance?

I just downloaded 10g on my (Windoze 2000) workstation, it installed fine but there is no sample DB.

    Wassup with this?
I remember when this place was cool.

But huns, why is that my 10g win2k installation is just as
straightforward as the 8i and 9i installaltion? after a successful
install, I got a ready running "ORCL" db/instance.

    Gandolf, predictable as usual.

    I got NOTHIN!!

There is no option on the universal installer.
There is nothing in the "Release Documentation"
I installed client and administrator, even looked at custom and there is no option. There was also no option on install, no prompt for "name yer instance".

I'm sure it is here somewhere, but they do not make it easy to find.

The checkbox "Example Schemas" needs to be checked for any Sample Schema to be created.

Look Jethro it is there, you need to do a custom install of the database and look for it!
