    oracle not available

    Hello,

    I installed oracle8i on windows xp. After installation is complete it works fine, but when i restart the system i am not able to connect to oracle. When i type the username and password it says oracle not available. Why does this happen.Plz give me a solution.

    you need to start the service (from control panel) and then start the database with sqlplus (if needed)
