export problem

Hi people,
I have a table called mech_engine which has the following columns, due_date, start_date, ref_date, end_date. I want to take an export of that table where the start_date is between 08/18 and 12/1.
Can any one please tell me how to do that?

Hey Dorothy,

First of all I do not know which DB version you are using. If you have 8i as a DB then you can just use QUERY clause to export data, only specific to your query .

can any one show the example using the querry clause assuming the export is to be taken from the mech_engine table as described, so that I can also see how it's done?
