10G ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only)
I have installed 10G on HP, changed the kernel setting accordingly, and then created a new database. I opened the URL, the database status is unavailable. I tried to log into the server and database by using root and sys account, the error shows 'RemoteOperationException: ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only)'. What should I do?

I tried to startup the database after run root.sh, and got the message 'Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection'
-
Net IO exception from the server? Connecting locally?
-
The database can be started from the SQLPLUS, not from the WEB interface. The error I got is when I tried to start the DB from Web interface.
The problem is that after I started up the DB from SQLPLUS, opened the URL EM, the message still shows that database is unavailable. 'The database status is currently unavailable. It is possible that the database is in mount or nomount state. Click 'Startup' to obtain the current status and open the database. If the database cannot be opened, click 'Perform Recovery' to perform an appropriate recovery operation.'
