Grid control - what's "monitorable"??
I'm a little confused with OEM/Grid control terminology. I have a Win2000 box lying around that I want to install 10g Grid control on. I want to use it as my management server to monitor a bunch of other databases on Solaris, Linux, Win2K and AIX machines.
My problem is - I don't see a "Grid control Management Agent" software for Windows (non-Itanium) or AIX5L. I assume I need a management agent on each target server to discover it via OEM.
Below is an excerpt of what is downloadable off technet. Does this mean I can't use Grid control to monitor databases on Windows, AIX5L machines (since management agents for them aren't available yet)? What beats me is - why've they released 10g OEM software for platforms such as Windows, AIX, Tru64 that don't even support themselves?

Try looking at:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/sof...oem/index.html
At the very bottom, you'll see a link for mass agent deployment, keep going and you'll find a download for every OS.

Also the full grid control downloads contain the agent and when you install you have the option to install only the agent.
