SMON Parallel Transaction Recovery Slave Got Internal Error

I am getting this particular in my database and after that my database use to struck :

This error comes in SMON Trace File.

SMON Parallel Transaction Recovery Slave Got Internal Error
Downgrading Transaction Recovery To Serial.
Ora-00600, Internal Error Code , Arguments {4142},{268435459)

After this database got struck. This error comes after every Second.

Please help me out in this regard.

Earlier recovery_parallisum was set to 0 it is after getting this error we hqave changed it to 2 earlier it was serial.


* any other parameter which is to be set in this regard

The error indicates that SMON noticed an error in parallel recovery and so aborts parallel recovery and does it serially. Despite the error in parallel recovery, recovery is done successfully (serially).

As for the ora-600 error, Are you doing any truncates here? You can have a look at Metalink, there are some docs there.
