Accessing LOB data type remotely using dblink

    HI,

I am trying to connect to a remote table which has got CLOB columns
and create it locally using dblink.

When i try to do that i get the following error
ORA-22992 cannot use LOB locator selected from remote table.

    Any workaround would be appreciated.

I'm not aware of any fancy workaround for that. What you could do is to create snapshots for those tables in your local database and propagate those remote LOBs data by refreshing snapshots.
