So the Abu Graib mess stops at Graner ? It's ridiculous that the buck stops here and does not go up the chain either vertically or horizontally i.e the Army/MI/DOD/Pentagon !!

Yep, but they got their scapegoat so that'll be that.
Disappointing that A. Gonzales, having written memos in support of torture just a couple of years ago, refused to hypothesise even one circumstance where it'd be justified during the senate hearings -- bit gutless, i thought.
