So if you live in California...

Do you deserve what you get?
Are mudslides, earthquakes, wildfires, drought and tons of phoney bolngna plastic, self-absorbed asswhipes par for the course?

I don't know but as far as I can see, if you build a house on stilts, on the side of a clay mountain, you are asking for trouble.

Earth moving, fire, flood......this might be mother natures way of saying get the F out.

So if you live in the state with 66% of the superfund sites in the country, then you should be happy that you live in a dump. That's why they call it the garden state, its all the manure!!!

The day I start to sprout spores or a 3rd hand I'm outta here.
Besides, this is no on topic, it is a manmade thang.

Then again a 3rd hand might be kool, think about the opportunities.

People all accross the country live on hillsides. If a house on a hill in New Joisey got as much rain as they have been getting, it might fall down the hill just like the houses in California.

Perhpas some of these houses should have been better anchored, or perhpas no amount of anchoring would have kept the hills together. We really don't know that right now, do we?

Besides, when are you the one to keep people on topic?

We have gotten quite a bit of rain this year. More than one house has already fallen down a hillside. If they had only asked you before buying???? Will the madness ever end????
