    top 5 events on STATSPACK

    this database is RAC and we have performance issues with one of the jobs, we tried to eliminate RAC is an issue so we switch it to DEDICATED mode.

    Below is the top 5 events during the high CPU utilization.

    Code:
    Top 5 Timed Events
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~                                                     % Total
    Event                                               Waits    Time (s) Ela Time
    -------------------------------------------- ------------ ----------- --------
    CPU time                                                        3,996    32.13
    global cache cr request                         4,885,813       2,252    18.11
    db file scattered read                            755,553       1,811    14.56
    enqueue                                             6,323       1,469    11.81
    db file sequential read                           632,428         972     7.82
              -------------------------------------------------------------
    Davey23uk,
    thanks for your input, we don't see much improving to run the job by switching from RAC to DEDICATED. Do you think it had something to with RAC setup??? or you think it's some other issues on the database itself.
    thanks
