    How can I send the output to pdf format

    Hi,
    I am using reports 6i on clientserver
    How can i generatethe pdf for my report?
    Is there any package in reports 6i which send the output in the pdf?

    There is probably a .dll within Adobe that could do this. Does the Adobe site contain any information on creating a DDE connection to Adobe Acrobat? Can you write something in 'C' that you could make into an external procedure? It can probably be done, but you may have to do the work yourself.

    I remember Adobe would install a virtual printer; printing to that created a .pdf - that was the simplest option. Of course you need to purchase the full product, not just the reader.

    You would need the full version of Adobe either way. But this would be the best way to do it. Although, I'm not sure how you tell it what the name of the file is and where to save it to. I'm guessing that prav_saras wants to run this in batch, though I don't know that for certain.
