Ora-3134
Hi Friends,
I have installed Oracle 10g on Win2000.
I tried to create service names using Oracle Net Manager.
When I created a service name connecting to Oracle 8i db on
an RS6000 server, I got this ORA-3134 error(Connections to this server version are no longer supported ). While the service
name connecting to an Oracle 9i db doesnt give error.
Can you help me please....
Thanks a lot

Do I have to upgrade the DB?(we cant do this in a snap)
Cause
Bug:3437884
Fix
Upgrade 8i database to 8.1.7.4
Backport request for 10.1 is in progress.
Code has been changed for release 10.2 to allow connections to 8.1.7.0
