Just passed the 10g upgrade also

    Hi.

I've just got back from the test center after passing the 10g upgrade.

I've been using 10g and RAC since it was released so I have quite alot of experience with it. Also, I've written my own revision notes over the last few months.

My preparation was reading my own notes and 3 of the articles on OracleCoach for the areas I've not written notes for yet. I only gave myself 2 days (after work) to read up on the stuff.

I expected to fail the exam as my preparation was very poor compared to previous exams, but this was the only date this year that I could sit the exam so I thought I'd give it a go to see how I would fair...

My feeling is that this was the easiest OCP exam I've ever taken.

I'll try to write the additional articles I'm missing soon.

    Cheers

    Well done Tim,

The notes are pretty comprehensive, you should think about compiling them into a book and making a couple of bucks!

    Hi.

Writing for a website is easy because people are getting the stuff for free and they don't mind the odd typo because they know you are the writer and editor.

I've just written a book (about Oracle but not OCP) and it is a real ball-ache. The content comes really quick but the quality control is really painful. It's pretty easy to get paranoid because people are going to pay for it so you feel really precious about it.

    Cheers

    Hi.

I hope it all goes well for you. I've mentioned the resources I think will get you through it, but the main thing is to use the product as much as you can.

    Good luck.
