    ORA-00942 when table exists

    Getting a wierd error here...

I do a daily import of a database (for user testing purposes) and I never had a problem until today.

There were errors 00942 while doing table "ANALYZE" in the import.
I decide to re-import and want to drop the tables.

As the schema owner, I should be able to drop but I get the ORA-00942 error. Funniest is I can do a SELECT * on the table and I get the rows. (Same problems when logging in as SYSTEM or SYS).

Should I remove the datafiles and use an archived version (tape)?

    Anyone had similar problems?

    Thanks

might be best if you show a full cut and paste from imp / sqlplus here. Might have missed something
