    kill session error

    Is it possible that a session is still haging in the system and get the following error?

    SQL> alter system kill session '20, 33424';
    alter system kill session '20, 33424'
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00030: user session ID does not exist

    when I query v$session I still can see the sessions;

    Thanks buddies

    It may be that the session is marked for kill.
