    ORA-12913 on Oracle 9i R2 (9.2.0.1.0) Win32

    Hello all,

I installed on a Windows 2003 Stardard Server the following Oracle 9i: version 9.2.0.1.0

After installing the database software I tried to create my personal database using "Database Configuration Assistant".

I intended to use Dictionary Managed mode... and clicked on this option during setup screens of this assistant. But after clicking Okay to start creating the database I received the following error message:

ORA-12913 Cannot create a tablespace managed by dictionary

I clicked on Ignore button and after all I saw that the tablespaces folders Index and Users were empty (no tablespace file created).

    How can I solve this?

I am very novice on Oracle.

    Thanks in advance to all.

if system is locally managed, all others have to be locallly managed as well.

If you must create a DMT convert system to be a DMT (but no good reasons to do it)
