    umm....well... I talked tooo much.

    I have some presumptions about this oracle support systems.
    Please scold me if i am wrong on these.

    1) "Licenced" version can be registered through oracle.com.
    2) metalink registration can be done using the registration number from above.
    3) oracle support services contract means purchasing Oracle "man-hours" where oracle support services people will "physically" visit the client site and act as a consultant and it has nothing to do with metalink.

    how about that.......

    yea, recreate your database (why you dont contact support, if you dont have a license let me report you to ORacle Corp.)

    You can have a licensed copy without a support contract and therefore no access to metalink
