Thread: slave wait

    slave wait

    Dear all,

    I have a high slave wait wait event after increasing dbwr_io_slaves to 4. Is this something to worry about or can it be ignored?
    There is no other info, just simply --- slave wait 22%.

    is that just indicating 'hey I'm waiting for something to do' in the context of pq as opposed to i'm waiting on a sequential read say where an index may not be selective enough?
