    Oracle DBA/Oracle Apps DBA

    Hello Guys,

    I am currently working as oracle dba and now thinking of taking additional career growth in taking oracle apps dba.

    Can someone suggest how hard it is and any institutes to startwith & better cost effective.I enquire in oracle corp chennai, which is very expensive.

    Having done both I can attest that an Oracle Apps DBA is kind of a carrer in itself. Oracle Apps is a monster and there's things in it if you were to say work on Apps 11.54 then go do normal DBA stuff for a year then come back you would be like "wtf"?? You really have to keep up with Oracle Apps.

    Two words...Conncurrent Manager.... That thing is a B@stard..
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!
