I like spotlight too. However, not every company
is willing to pay for it. My CEO used to say:
You DBA guys have this nice tool, and that is why
you can find out the problem. If I have the tool,
I may do same thing!
What did CEO meaning? :-(

Yesterday I downloaded spotlight's trial version and installed it with the key they sent in the e-mail.
It says that the this trial will expire tomorrow !
Is there trial version only for two days or the keys are for each month...tomorrow being the end of November matures the trial period ?
By the way it really looks good in the initial analysis.

I think the CEO was saying that the tool makes it easy enough for anybody to be a DBA, hence you wouldn't need to be around if they had the tool. Make sure they know that's not true :)

Anybody can be a CEO - all you need is a good secretary. You definitely have to put it to him that he's wrong in a very clear way.
