    Db in Linux Archive to Win2k

    My Database in Linux Os and
    the Archive files are to be transferred to the Win2k Os
    Is it possible to point to Win2k os as archive dest.
    Oracle version 9.0.2

    May be goes to Win2k as final destination and sleeps nicesly.

    we have the win2k setup already running and want to utilize that as a standby db. Will it work???

    That is what my question..?

    If it is not transportable, then
    one of the option should be Exp and IMp.
    Right?

    Sorry sport, they have to be the same OS. Is export/import an option? Only your business requirements can decide that.

    IMHO, if you're looking to setup a standby, your business requirements probably are more than exp/imp can provide.
