Yes, agreed - he needs THE Oracle Agent.
however, does the OA just put the TBSs in hot backup mode? Or is clever enough to differentiate the files it should backup and those it shouldn't (on-line redo?).
Most network admins, if recovering a data server, will just issue a blanket recover and recover the entire server (Not an Oracle style disaster recovery recover-datafile-x scenario), so does it matter if the on-line redo is backed-up? I ask because an ORA DBA wouldn't do that type of recovery (usually! )
But yes - I agree - HE NEEDS THE ORA AGENT!
(Just asking in case anyone has any experience of doing this)

You shouldn't be backing up online redo logs during a hot backup in the first place. So address that.

how does Oracle Agent can help me to solve the problem?

Basically, just by copying the datafiles you may not have a complete backup. You might, you might not. The time when you need to restore is not the time you want to be finding out that your backup is not valid.
Most "oracle agent" pieces of backup software know how to put the tablespaces in backup mode, copy the datafiles, and take the tablespaces out of backup mode.
IMHO, if you are serious about backup/recovery you would be looking at RMAN. This comes standard with Oracle Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition.
Online redo log files most likely will not get backed up during a backup. That's what the archived redo logs are for.

Please go to that link and read.
Alternatively you can dump the db to an alternate location on disk (rman, hot bkp, cold bkp whatever) and have the backp software backup that sepcific location and not the open db files
